Four Students at University of Idaho Found Dead in Off-campus Apartment

This is a tough week for college campuses and tragedy.

On Sunday, there was a mass shooting at the University of Virginia.

Sadly, there was a second tragedy at the University of Idaho.

Horrific Discovery

Sunday night, local police responded to a call for an unconscious individual at an apartment in Moscow, ID, which is just off the campus of the University Idaho.

When they arrived, they found four dead bodies.

Police stated, "The Moscow Police Department is investigating and the families of these students have been notified.

“MPD does not believe there is an active threat.”

The victims were identified as Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20; and Kaylee GonCalves, 21. Chapin was from Washington state and Kernodle is from Arizona while the other two students are from Idaho.

According to reports, two of the students, Chapin and Kernodle, were involved with each other.

Currently, the deaths are being investigated as a homicide.
