The attack on Israel was horrific, and now the United States has skin in the game.
Soon after the attack, several Americans were reported dead and missing.
So far, the U.S. citizen body count is at four, but that will likely climb as the rubble is cleared and bodies are recovered. (This body count has since been updated to at least nine Americans killed during the Hamas attack.)
The deaths were confirmed by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who was doing the media circuit on Sunday in an effort to do as much damage control as possible for Biden.
He stated, “Yes, we have reports that several Americans were killed. We’re working overtime to verify that.
“At the same time, there are reports of missing Americans and there again, We’re working to verify those reports.”
The US Embassy in Jerusalem sent out an announcement for all Americans in the country to shelter in place.
We also know that several members of Congress were in the country at the time of the attack, including Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) and Senator Corey Booker (D-N.J.). Both announced that they were okay and had sheltered in place during the attack.
As of this writing, it was not clear if they were still in-country or if they had been able to leave Israel and return back to the United States.
More than 700 Israelis were killed in the initial strike, with thousands more missing.
This is yet another foreign policy failure for Joe Biden and this time, it cost the lives of Americans.
It was only a few weeks ago that Biden had South Korea release $6 billion to Iran that had been frozen by South Korea. The funds were issued to Qatar, who would then transfer the money to Iran.
The Biden administration was told that the funds would only be used for Humanitarian aid, but we all know how Iran will use this money.
The terrorist nation has already admitted that it is funding Hamas, and I am sure that “aid” will go a long way to help Hamas fight this war against Israel.
