When I was growing up, I loved "Cheers."
As did, I would imagine, most of the people reading this report.
Sadly, one of the main stars of the series, Kirstie Alley, has passed away.
She Will Be Missed
Alley's children announced her death, stating, "As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more amazing mother and grandmother. We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their care.
"Our mother's zest and passion for life, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy of creating, were unparalleled and leave us inspired to live life to the fullest just as she did."
The statement concluded, "We thank you for your love and prayers and ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time. With love always, True and Lillie Parker."

In addition to TV shows, she had some pretty big hits on the big screen.
"Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," "Summer School, and "Look Who's Talking," were some of my favorites.
While never having dated, she and John Travolta always had a very special relationship, surely rooted in the fact they were both members of the Church of Scientology.
Travolta stated, "Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirstie. I know we will see each other again.”
Alley is survived by her two kids, son William and daughter Lillie.
She only recently found out she had cancer, keeping it low key just so she could enjoy what time she had left in peace with her family.
Rest in peace, Kirstie, and thanks for all the laughs.
