Daytime Soap Star Dead at 42

One of the stars of “One Life to Live” has passed away at far too young an age.

Amanda Davies, who played the teenage version of her real-life mother Erika Slezak‘s character, Victoria “Viki” Lord, passed away this week.

Her death was confirmed by her mother, who posted the notice on social media on Monday.

She’s Gone

At this time, no cause of death has been reported, so a lot of questions are being asked about how a healthy 42-year-old died.

In her statement on social media confirming the death, Slezak stated, “It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Erika’s daughter Amanda Elizabeth Davies, who died very suddenly.

“The family is heartbroken and would appreciate privacy at this time.”

Davies worked on the show for several years doing “flashback” work to portray her mother's character, Viki Lord, as a young girl.

Obviously, the choice was an easy one to make for producers, who had the real-life daughter of the actor they were using for the role.

Shockingly, that is really the only notable credit on her IMDb profile. Other than her stint on “One Life to Live,” she was featured in two TV series, “Soapography” and “Intimate Portrait,” as well as a short in 2011 called “The Gift.”

This is now the third death that the show has had to deal with in just the last few months.

On Christmas Eve, it was announced that Puerto Rican actor Kamar de los Reyes, who played cop Antonio Vega, passed away after losing a fight against cancer.

Prior to that Andrea Evans, who played Tina Lord, passed away in July of cancer.

Davies is survived by her mother, father, and brother.
