We all remember the story.
A retired police captain was hired as a security guard to keep local businesses safe during the George Floyd rioting.
That man's name was David Dorn.
He was shot in cold blood, and now the shooter, Stephan Cannon, will never see anything but a prison yard ever again.
He's a Good Boy
To hear his mother after the verdict came down, Cannon was a boy scout.
She stated, "He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"I don't understand why an innocent young man has to go to jail for a murder he did not commit. I want justice for my son, just as well as they want justice for Capt. Dorn.
"I'm sorry that happened to that Captain, but my son is innocent. He wouldn't harm anybody."
Even the media was sticking up for him, leaving out the fact the man was identified in video surveillance, with two other people identifying him as the individual in the video...
Thankfully, not all media fell for it, and justice has been served...
Judge sentences him to life without parole on the murder charge,
5 years for count 2,
robbery 10 years,
4 ACA 5 years,
5 burglary 5 years,
6 ACA 5 years.
All sentences are consecutive to each other.— Christine Byers (@ChristineDByers) October 5, 2022
Dorn's son, Brian Powell, told Cannon, "I hope your eyes are woke.
"You still have time to get everything together and make amends with your maker."
He won't. Both he and his family were defiant leaving the courtroom, with one of his family members flipping off the Dorns on the way out.
The only chance this kid has of seeing anything but prison walls again is if John Fetterman runs for governor of his state because we all know how Fetterman loves to put murderers back on the street.
