D.C. Law License of John Eastman Suspended

Former Trump attorney John Eastman is having a rough go of it lately.

A California judge had already recommended that Eastman be permanently barred in March for his actions related to the 2020 election.

Now, a D.C. appeals court has suspended his license.

The Wake of Destruction

The number of careers that were or are being wrecked in the aftermath of the fight to overturn the 2020 election is staggering.

That list just had a name added to it in John Eastman.

The California judge recommended disbarment for Eastman’s “false and misleading” statements regarding 2020 election fraud.

Eastman appealed the ruling, but the D.C. Court of Appeals issued a similar order, keeping Eastman’s license suspended until the situation in California plays out.

Once the California Supreme Court issues its ruling, and we all know how that will go, Eastman can appeal the case to the Supreme Court.

Sadly, his legal problems do not end there.

Eastman is facing charges in two more upcoming cases, including eight charges in the Georgia election fraud case.

Eastman now joins a list of former Trump associates who have either lost their careers, gone bankrupt, and/or wound up in jail for trying to help Trump overturn the election.

Trump has already hinted that a similar path will be taken if he does not win in 2024, which is baffling to me.

If Trump wants to attract the best talent for his administration, one would think he would back off the 2020 narrative simply because of how many lives and careers were ruined, including possibly his own.

I have stated for some time that Trump needs to put that all behind him or risk losing everything, and I stand by that.

People want to hear about how he will help this country get back on track, not look in the past for something that even if Trump is right, there is nothing to be done about now, only six months away from election day and eight months from Biden leaving office.
