Country star Zach Bryan and girlfriend survive harrowing car crash

Barstool Sports personality Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia said Tuesday in a TikTok video that she and her boyfriend, country music star Zach Bryan ("Something in the Orange") survived a "traumatizing" car crash Sunday night that had them preparing for death.

"Two nights ago, Zach and I got into a traumatizing side-by-side car crash. It flipped a bunch of times. Everything shattered, and thank God we had our seatbelts on," LaPaglia said.

"There was a lot of blood, and we thought, like, we were like saying goodbye to each other," she revealed. "After the ambulance came and he got all stitched up, we were like, ‘Oh my God, thank God. Didn’t hit an artery. It was just a huge gash.'

"We were OK. We are happy and alive," she said.

'Wear your seat belts'

LaPaglia posted another video shortly thereafter that advised her audience to wear seat belts.

"I will be that annoying person," she said. "I will spend the rest of my life saying, ‘Wear your seat belts.’ I've always been a seat belt wearer just because my parents always made me. And, in high school, a neighborhood friend passed away and wasn't wearing a seat belt.

"But I was never the person to be like, ‘Put your seat belt on. Wear a seat belt.' I was like people are gonna do what they want to do.' Not anymore," she said.

She credited seat belts for saving her and Bryan's lives.

"If we didn't have our seat belts on, we would literally be decapitated — broken necks or dead," she said.

Still on tour

The accident did not derail Bryan's ongoing "Quittin' Time" tour. He played shows on May 13 and 14 in Little Rock, Arkansas but was injured again when their cat escaped the tour bus and he had to go look for it.

“Zach tries to jump on her [and] all of his stitches burst again,” LaPaglia explained in the video. “He is bleeding everywhere. So much blood.”

The couple did eventually corral the cat and leave Arkansas, according to the New York Post.

Bryan's most recent social media post didn't mention the accident, but praised LaPaglia to his audience. “This lady holds the weight up of everyone around her day in and day out,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories.

“You’re my muse Brianna and I don’t understand how the hell you hold it together when people around you can’t,” he added. “Thank you forever and always no matter what.”
