The days of Janet Yellen in the Biden administration could soon be over.
Reports broke this week that the White House is considering replacing Yellen as the Treasury Secretary.
The one thing that could stop her ouster is Republicans winning the Senate outright.
Time to Go
There is no time to name a replacement and have them go through the confirmation process before the election is over.
So, Biden will have to wait five weeks to see the general election's outcome before making a move.
Rumors are swirling, however, and it would appear that Joe is not thrilled with Yellen right now.
Another name getting floated is Brian Deese.
Deese currently serves as the director of the National Economic Council.
He is reportedly thinking about leaving after the new year, but he is not giving up the tapes on that just yet.
With some of Biden's lowest scores being on the economy, Yellen would appear to be the scapegoat if Biden let's her go.
Yellen, like Biden, called inflation transitory and she was even forced to admit that her predictions on price hikes were completely wrong last year.
