Ed Henry is having a tough go of it lately.
Henry was terminated from Fox News after sexual misconduct allegations were made against him.
Currently, he has a lawsuit against him for another set of allegations, and it turns out that he will have at least one more court appearance to make… for a DUI, reported MSN.
Straighten Up and Fly Right
The report on Henry’s DUI is almost comical if it was not so sad.
Once a respected news correspondent, he is now a Fox News meme for everything that is wrong with that network.
Henry was fired in July 2020 after “willful sexual misconduct” allegations were levied against him by two Fox News employees.
Jennifer Eckhart was one of them, accusing Henry of sexual harassment and rape during the summer of 2020.
Now Henry has another legal problem in that he was pulled over in his Escalade around 8:00 p.m. on June 20 after he was observed weaving all over the place as well as a flat tire that he was continuing to drive on.
Henry told the officers that he only had two bourbons between 6 and 7:00 p.m., and while his breathalyzer did register under the legal limit, the officer stated that he was clearly impaired during the field sobriety test.
The arresting officer stated, “While Henry was talking, I was able to smell the odor of unknown alcohol coming from his breath.
“Henry had glassy and bloodshot eyes…His gait was unsteady. His speech was slightly slurred.”
Henry’s attorney says he will beat the charge, stating, “Mr. Henry cooperated with law enforcement during their investigation.
“He respectfully provided a sample of his breath that was below a .08, and thus below the legal limit in Florida,” reports the Daily Caller.
Alcohol impacts everyone differently, and I am going to take a shot in the dark that the field test will weigh heavier than the breathalyzer in this case.
I would be highly surprised if Henry is not convicted or forced to take a plea deal to a lesser charge to avoid the DUI on his record.
