Cornel West Says Harris Offered Payment for Withdrawal

Well, my friends, things just got a lot more interesting in this election.

Third-party candidate Cornel West just tossed out a major allegation against Kamala Harris and her campaign.

According to West, Harris was literally looking to buy his endorsement if he would drop out.

Write That Check

Current polling shows that Jill Stein and Cornel West will pull votes away from the Harris campaign if they are on the ballot on election day.

This is exactly why Democrats are fighting to have them both removed in battleground states while continuing to keep Kennedy on the ballot even though he has dropped out.

Kennedy has already withdrawn, announcing that he would be putting his support behind Trump as well as actively campaigning for Trump.

According to West, Kamala wants him out of the race so badly that she offered to give him a job in her administration and pay off his campaign debt if he left.

West sat down with Jordan Chariton on the Status Coup News to break the story, stating, “Well, I mean a number of them reached out just saying I need to get on the bandwagon — this is a historic moment, especially a black moment … I told them, I said you all just talking to the wrong brother. You can offer resources or position or what have you — that’s... that’s not what I’m all about. That’s not the game I play…”

West was then asked about the various incentives offered to him to drop out, and he responded, “Oh, I mean there was definitely various kinds of offers. I won’t go into concrete details of it — I really won’t, because I don’t I — I don’t even want to make that the focus of the interview —”

Here is my question…

We know states like PA, MI, and WI are fighting the removal of Kennedy from the ballot. Would they put up the same resistance if West withdrew, endorsed Harris, and then requested his name be taken off the ballot?

I think we all know the answer to that, which is exactly why we need established rules regarding deadlines for removal from the ballot that will treat all candidates equally in these situations.
