Congressman Jim Jordan orders continuation of Hunter Biden investigation

Just because Joe Biden is leaving office does NOT mean that Republicans in Congress are just willing to forget all about his family's crimes.

In an interview with Politico, House Judiciary Committee chair Jim Jordan, a Republican from Ohio, indicated that the panel would continue investigating Hunter Biden's criminal activity.

"We think we need to look at David Weiss, the special counsel," Jim Jordan said.

"There will be some additional work we need to do, I think, there because when we deposed him, he wasn’t willing to -- he didn’t answer any questions, really, because it was [an] ongoing investigation," he continued.

Jordan said that he was NOT okay with Joe Biden pardoning his son from all crimes committed within a ten-year period.

"I didn’t agree with it. I think a lot of Americans didn’t," Jordan said.

However, Jordan was willing to admit that "the president can pardon anyone he wants to pardon."

Jordan's committee had launched a broad probe into Joe Biden's son Hunter and Joe Biden's brother James for alleged unethical business dealings, which led to the two having to testify before members of Congress last year.

Despite Joe Biden having pardoned his son, Republicans allege that Hunter Biden lied on the stand during that testimony and should be charged accordingly.

Unfortunately for Republicans, it was uncovered that former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov had submitted a false testimony about the Bidens' crimes, leading to speculation that the investigation into the family was sparked by political opponents instead of being related to valid concerns.

One thing Jordan has going for him though is the fact that Donald Trump is going to take office soon.

Trump has indicated that he might be willing to use some tools available to him to go after the people who unfairly accused him of crimes, and the Biden family is said to be high on his list of targets.

Do you think that Jordan's continued investigation into Hunter Biden could produce any real results, or is Hunter too protected after being pardoned by his father?

It will be interesting to see what happens on this front once Trump takes office!
