Colorado Officials Order Recount in Boebert Election

Election recount laws have kicked in.

The race between Rep. Boebert (R-CO) and Adam Frisch falls into the 0.5 percent category, so the recount has been ordered.

Boebert's campaign has already asked Frisch to withdraw from the race to save the taxpayers the money, but I don't see that happening.

Too Close to Call

Even though little more than 500 votes had decided the race, Frisch had conceded.

This was a safe call, however, knowing that the automatic recount law would kick in the election easily falling into the recount zone.

Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold was more than happy to announce the recount, which now must be completed by December 13…

Frisch, to his credit, has not played games here.

He supports the recount because it is the law, but he also knows realistically he has little chance of gaining enough votes to win this seat.

In most recounts, at most, you will see a couple of hundred seats change, but I cannot recall one where more than 500 votes were changed.

Boebert seemed quite confident of the outcome, stating, "Come January, you can be certain of two things.

"I will be sworn in for my second term as your congresswoman and Republicans can finally turn Pelosi's house back into the People's House."

I like Boebert because she does not take crap from anyone, but I also hope she learned her lesson in how tight this race was.

She seemed more interested in grabbing social media headlines than in doing her job at times. I would also note that she was one of the biggest violators on the right for using the proxy voting that was put in place by Pelosi, which has never really sat well with me.

I used that regularly to show McCarthy's weak leadership.

Considering how much he barked about it, he should have insisted GOP members be in DC in person to vote unless they actually had COVID.
