During the Michigan gubernatorial debate, Republican Tudor Dixon told a story about a voter who was changing parties.
The driving force of his move over to the GOP was content that he found in the school library.
Late-night host Steven Colbert mocked the story on his show, accusing Dixon of making it up.
You Got It Wrong
“Outnumbered” did a short segment on this after the man that talked to Dixon came forward to prove that he did, in fact, exist…
I guess Colbert will now say that the man was paid to play the part because we know he will never apologize.
Even if he does admit he got it wrong, he will probably mock the man, which was exactly Dixon’s point.
She stated, “And Stephen Colbert picks it up. … And they make this whole skit about how this has never happened.
“That’s what he said, this story never happened.
“That’s where the Democrats are right now.
“You don’t exist, your stories are not important.”
CBS has not responded to inquiries about Colbert’s bogus claim thus far.
