Steve Schmidt was one of a handful of founders of the Lincoln Project.
This was a group of anti-Trumpers who made it their purpose to put Joe Biden in the White House.
The group has used unethical tactics almost from the outset.
Now Schmidt is trashing his own organization.
Schmidt left the organization over a dispute with Reed Galen, another co-founder.
After a documentary aired about the group and its practices, Schmidt went off.
He posted a long string on Twitter to explain his position, stating, "The @Showtime documentary documents some of the most despicable and unethical behavior I have ever seen."
He also documented outright fraud by the group...
9/ deal. Ethics matter. Integrity matters. I urge @TheRickWilson to find a way to return that money and make this right. No one is perfect and Rick has a lot going on. I have never met anyone who works harder. He has to fix this. I hope the donors to @ProjectLincoln will demand

Those are pretty harsh words for a man that continues to fight Trump and any candidate he endorses.
Schmidt is currently backing Tim Ryan against J.D. Vance.
Ryan is about as liberal as it gets, and this so-called conservative has his nose so far up Ryan's tail that it is disgusting.
So, you know if he is calling someone out within his group that would hurt the integrity of the attacks against Trump, it must be bad.
