One of the key players in Zendaya’s “Euphoria” has passed away.
Angus Cloud, 25, who played Fez, a drug dealer with a soft spot for Rue (Zendaya’s character), has died.
According to reports, he took the death of his father rather hard, so it sounds like he may have committed suicide.
Gone Too Soon
Cloud had really only just gotten started in making his star shine.
His first credited role was in 2019, breaking through with “Euphoria” in the same year, making 16 appearances in the 3-year run.
Cloud appeared in two music videos and just had “The Line” come out this year, which is a movie about the life of a bold university student.
According to an NBC News report, Cloud died in the family home in Oakland, CA.
His family stated, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
The “Euphoria” social media account posted, “We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
Fez was one of the more popular characters on “Euphoria” because of the complexity of the character.
You had someone that could be ruthless, beating someone mercilessly or killing him at the drop of a bucket, yet he would pick Rue up and take care of her after a bad trip while caring for his sick grandmother at the same time.
Just gone way too soon.
