Clarence Thomas Pushes Back Against 'Nastiness' of Critics

Former President Donald just got a MASSIVE win.

The most senior member of the Supreme Court, Justice Clarence Thomas, just dropped a huge hammer during his speech at the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals conference.

Now, Trump is likely celebrating after what Thomas had to say in his speech.

Justice Thomas, who has been a member of the Supreme Court for more than 30 years, let his opinion of Washington, D.C. and the things that happen there be known.

“Being in Washington, you have to get used to particularly people who are reckless. They don’t bomb you, necessarily, but they bomb your reputation or your good name or your honor. And that’s not a crime but they can do as much harm that way,” Thomas said.

Thomas did not stop there.

“I think what you’re gonna find, and especially in Washington, [is] people pride themselves in being awful. It is a hideous place, as far as I’m concerned,” he said.

Justice Thomas also touched on the criticism he has faced for staying true to his beliefs, explaining that he has learned to deal with “the fact that they can’t change you unless you permit that,” and that he refuses to return “nastiness for nastiness.”

“You have some choices. You don’t get to prevent people from doing horrible things or saying horrible things,” Thomas also said.

This could bode very well for Donald Trump.

Thomas KNOWS how toxic Washington, D.C. is and does everything in his power to make sure the truth is revealed.

In his speech, Thomas also about his distaste for how the U.S. Supreme Court handles emergency requests and the process they follow during those cases.

“I think there’s some concern about that among my colleagues -- certainly with me -- because it short circuits our process. The way that we’re doing it now, I think, is not a thorough way of dealing with very, very difficult issues,” Thomas said.

Maybe the most noteworthy point of Justice Thomas’s speech is the way he says the Supreme Court USED to be.

Justice Thomas spoke fondly about the golden days when he first joined the Supreme Court, a time where distrust like the kind that is happening today never would have happened in the early 90s.

“We may have been a dysfunctional family, but we were a family,” he said of his original team.

“It would be inconceivable that anyone would leak an opinion of the court or do anything to intentionally harm one another,” Thomas continued.

Justice Thomas KNOWS times have changed and things have gotten worse.

It is comforting to know that there is someone on the inside who is not blind to how disturbing the people operating in Washington D.C. can truly be.

Do you think Justice Thomas's views will play a role in helping Trump succeed?
