Oh, you just have to love how everyone's principles go right out the window when an election is in on the line.
Publicly, Chuck Schumer rails against dark money.
Privately, he is using it to try to save the majority in the Senate.
Both Sides of His Mouth
Democrats have to hold one chamber of Congress or Joe Biden is doomed.
The last thing he can afford to see happen is a steady stream of legislation that he vetoes on a steady basis.
He has been railing about how Republicans are not helping him, but you know he will not pass any legislation that comes from Republicans for fear of them getting credit.
Schumer has openly discouraged dark money donations…
I’m announcing that the Senate will vote this week on the DISCLOSE Act.
This bill would fight the cancer of dark money in our elections and require dark money groups to report campaign contributions.
Americans deserve to know who's spending billions to sway our democracy.

Yet, with the Senate at stake, Majority Forward, a dark money nonprofit, funneled $20 million to Schumer's Senate Majority PAC.
That is on top of a previous $27 million Majority Forward had already sent the PAC.
Americans for Public Trust executive director Caitlin Sutherland stated, "Liberals decry dark money, unless it's their own.
"The fact that this Schumer-backed group funneled $20 million to help Schumer keep his gavel, just weeks after his diatribe on the evils of money in politics, is the height of hypocrisy."
Indeed it is, and I cannot wait for someone from the mainstream media to hammer Schumer on this very subject.
