Chad Daybell Sentence Announced

Convicted killer Chad Daybell has finally learned his fate.

Daybell was convicted of killing his wife and two of his girlfriend’s children.

The jury took little time in announcing that Daybell deserves the death penalty.

Put Him to Death

The crime took place in 2019, and came to light when two children were discovered missing.

The children, 16-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, are the two youngest children of Lori Vallow Daybell, who married Daybell after his first wife “died.”

When the jury came back after only a day of deliberating on the death sentence, the judge asked Daybell if he wanted to make a statement, but he declined to do so.

Daybell was also convicted of killing his first wife, Tammy Daybell.

Lori Vallow Daybell is also being tried for the three murders as well as the murder of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, who was the father of the now-deceased JJ Vallow.

Police were alerted to the missing children by a family member, then a massive search was undertaken to find the children.

Police later found Tylee’s DNA on a pickaxe and shovel, and JJ’s body was found discarded in trash bags.

Fremont County Prosecutor Lindsey Blake stated, “This has been a tough case because of its complexity, both in telling the story of an investigation that spanned years and trying to figure out the best way to present it in a way that would make sense to others.”

Lori Vallow Daybell’s oldest child, Colby Ryan, stated, “This is the best justice we can possibly get. And again, it doesn’t change the outcome, but it is good news, and it brings closure for everybody that’s been hurt.”

Ryan later added, “My three kids will never know the kindness of Tylee’s heart or JJ’s silly and goofy personality … The only way I could describe the impact of their lives being lost is like a nuclear bomb dropping.

“It’s not an overstatement to say that I lost everything.”

That type of evil is just something I will never understand.
