Fox News Star Brian Kilmeade Caught on Hot Mic

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade has never hidden his allegiance to Trump and his primary supporters in Congress.

As such, it makes sense that Kilmeade is hoping to see Jordan elected as the next Speaker of the House.

That became quite apparent when Kilmeade was caught on a hot mic reacting to Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) voting for former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who was not even running for the position this time.

Dumba$$

As roll call was being done, it became apparent very early on that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was not going to get to the number that he needed to secure the gavel.

With the GOP only holding a 10-seat edge against Democrats, only four people could go against Jordan.

Jordan did not even make it through the Bs when a dissenting vote was made against him.

Bacon yelled out “McCarthy,” and Kilmeade called him a “dumba$$,” with the comment getting caught on a hot mic.

With only 12 votes cast, because of two absences, Jordan only had one more vote to spare, and he lost that soon enough when McCarthy, Scalise, and Zeldin all received multiple votes, as well as four other candidates receiving single votes.

When the day was done, Jordan had 200 of the 218 votes he needed. Wednesday was not much better, as Jordan only received 199 votes.

The sticking point for those voting against Jordan is his loyalty to Donald Trump, which has been unwavering, and they do not appear to be ready to give in anytime soon.

With Jordan not getting the vote on the first or second try, I don’t see how this changes anytime soon, and it does not serve any purpose to tie the House up for five days as McCarthy’s vote did.

At least McCarthy had a path, but I don’t see that now for Jordan.

The question remains, however, who the GOP can put on the floor that will get moderates, the establishment, and MAGA to agree on.

I don’t know if the name exists on the GOP roster right now.
