Car Plows into Biden Motorcade, Driver Believed to be Drunk

Joe Biden and his Secret Service detail had a little bit of excitement over the weekend.

According to reports, a 46-year-old Wilmington, DE, man, who was allegedly drunk, plowed into a vehicle that had sealed off the area for a Biden visit to a campaign headquarters.

Neither Joe nor Jill Biden were harmed in the incident.

The Accident

The alleged drunk driver hit an SUV that was parked to block access to Joe Biden’s motorcade.

The driver hit the armored vehicle, then tried to continue into the intersection that had been sealed off for Biden’s visit. At that point, Secret Service surrounded the car, weapons drawn, telling the driver to put his hands up.

The driver of the vehicle was later identified as James Cooper, according to a report from the BBC.

Jill Biden was already in the president’s vehicle, and Joe Biden was then ushered into the car and driven back to his Delaware residence.

Wilmington police charged the driver of the car with drunken driving and inattentive driving, making him the most famous DUI driver in the country right now.

USSS Special Agent Steve Kopek, an agency spokesperson, stated that "no protective interest associated with this event, and the President's motorcade departed without incident."

Video of the accident went viral for both Joe Biden’s reaction as well as how long it took Secret Service agents to get him into his SUV after they saw the crash…

Compared to videos where we saw Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan pushed into vehicles and whisked away amid a threat, that seemed like an eternity, which again brought criticism of Joe Biden’s age.

Biden seemed absolutely clueless as to the seriousness of the situation at the time, with the Secret Service unsure if this was an attempt on his life or "just" a random accident, yet he stood there with no sense of urgency, just gawking at the accident.

All I know is if that is the man we need to take control if our country comes under attack, we are in dire shape.
