Those of you that read my articles regularly know there are few things I consider more disgusting than crimes against children.
In this world, where it seems so easy to lure a child away, one would think it would make sense to have the harshest penalties available to such sick and twisted people.
That is not the case in California, where the Democrat-dominated assembly decided to block legislation that would have permitted life sentences for anyone found guilty of human trafficking children, reported Newsweek.
Make the World Safer
California Governor Gavin Newsom went on a red-state tour earlier this year proclaiming California the abortion capital of the country.
Need to kill an unborn child… come to California and we have your back.
Newsom and his fellow Democrats also support the idea of sending a child to the doctor for transition surgery even though most kids cannot figure out how to put socks on that match in the morning.
That is their idea of protecting children because it sure is not protecting them against human traffickers.
The proposed bill would have put the human trafficking of children on par with crimes like rape and murder.
It was a big deal to even get the bill this far, as Republicans had to lure Democrats over to their side of the aisle, but the celebration was short-lived.
The California Assembly Public Safety Committee killed the measure on Tuesday. I mean, seriously, how do you possibly defend that stance?
California GOP chairwoman Jessica Millan Patterson was clearly disgusting and defeated, stating, "You know you're on the wrong side of an issue when you deliver a win for human traffickers. Democrats on the Public Safety Committee proved they have no intention of protecting the lives of Californians, let alone protecting innocent children from the horrors of human trafficking.
"What we saw today from California Democrats was heartless and disgusting, reported Fox News.
California Assembly Republican leader James Gallagher added, "Once again, Democrats are looking out for the most vicious criminals at the expense of victims.
"Any normal person would tell you that human trafficking a minor is a serious crime, but Democrats would rather enable these monsters than hold them accountable."
Not a single Democrat voted in favor of the bill.
Keep in mind, this legislation flew through the CA Senate with unanimous support in May, yet it failed here.
The bill was given reconsideration, which means it can be presented again next year for another vote.
These are just sick, twisted people… and they hold the power.
