Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) said that a copy of the book Uncle Tom's Cabin was sent to his Washington office as a racist action against the congressman.

"Today, my D.C. office received a copy of the world-renowned book 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Whoever sent this book did so w/ hate in their heart & the desire to depict me as a sellout," Donalds tweeted.
"Concentration & mental toughness are the margins of victory. -Bill Russell," he added.

"This isn't the first time Donalds has been on the receiving end of racist attacks from those who disagree with him politically," Fox News reported.
"Earlier this year, amid Republicans taking a small majority in the House, Donalds' wife, Erika, shared screenshots of the 'racist attacks' that she and her husband endure from the left," it added.
Donalds came under attack after he was nominated as House speaker and received votes from 20 GOP holdouts opposing Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
Democratic Rep. Cori Bush (MO) referred to Donalds as a "prop," arguing that he supported white supremacy.
Donalds responded back, both to Bush and in an interview with MSNBC's Joy Reid, calling out the racist language toward a black lawmaker.
The latest controversy involving a book adds to the concerns Donalds faces as he seeks to represent his conservative values in the midst of leftist racism.
