Brit Hume: Biden ‘Palpably senile and the country sees it’

Brit Hume is one of the best in terms of being a political analyst, as the man pulls no punches regardless of the subject.

Well, he made a doozy of a comment about Joe Biden this week, and it is blowing up all over the internet.

While discussing Super Tuesday on Fox News, Hume noted that Joe Biden is “Palpably senile,” and it is hard to argue his point.

What’s Going On, Joe?

Most of us have a friend or family member who has gone through dementia, Alzheimer’s, or some version of it.

It is just the sad reality of life that as we get older, things just don’t function the way they used to.

Biden has been hit with that rather hard over the last few years, as he is hardly the man who was VP during the Obama administration.

I would even go so far as to say he has deteriorated significantly since he ran for office in 2020, and that campaign was not exactly gaffe-free.

On Thursday night, Joe Biden will give a State of the Union Address, so don’t expect to see too much of him leading up to that.

Biden can still give a decent speech, that is as long as it does not last more than 15 minutes or so.

Once Joe Biden goes past that, he starts to fall apart. And considering that SOTU addresses are often about an hour or so, everything will be in the line for Biden on Thursday night.

Hume addressed this very issue while discussing Super Tuesday results, stating, “I have always thought the age and acuity issue was a ticking time bomb. I was saying when it was not at all fashionable to say it that he was senile.”

He added, “Now I think he is palpably senile and the country sees it. And one of his challenges on Thursday night, Bret, would be whether he can assuage the concerns of those even within his own party, who think and say that he is too old for the job.”

Biden will have the nation's eyes on him, and you better believe the first stumble, stutter, or confused name will generate attacks from the right and even more concern than there already is on the left.

This is Biden’s chance to energize voters, so let’s see if he can hold it together or crumble like most of us believe he will.
