To say Trump was cocky during the E. Jean Carroll deposition would be an understatement.
He testified with no fear, basically saying that stars are treated differently, be it for better or worse, and people just have to deal with it.
Well, Bragg plans on using that cavalier attitude against Trump in the Stormy Daniels hush money case he will be presenting sometime next year.
His Mindset
Bragg's trial is currently set to begin in March, but that start date is likely to get pushed back.
Bragg has already stated that he will work with attorneys and judges in the other cases against Trump to ensure cases are not conflicting.
Even though Bragg has stacked felony charges against Trump, this is arguably one of the weakest cases and outright abuse that we have seen in this never-ending saga of charges against Trump.
Bragg has now reportedly requested the deposition from the Carroll case as another way to hurt Trump in the Stormy Daniels case.
Trump, during the deposition, was asked about his statement of being able to grab women in their privates simply because he is famous.
Trump stated, "Well, historically, that's true with stars. Well, if you look over the last million years, I guess that's been largely true. Not always, but largely true. Unfortunately, or fortunately," reported Newsweek.
The goal by Bragg will be to turn jurors against Trump because of that attitude.
Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani stated, "To the extent that the DA's office can credibly argue that this wasn't just a one-off affair. This is something that happens all the time. I don't think jurors are going to like that."
He added that Trump's "unapologetic" tone could "turn off" jurors, especially if that jury box is packed with members of the liberal horde.
I have maintained all along that while I think Bragg's case is weak, Trump still needs to be worried because of the judge and jury that will be assigned to this case. There is a very good chance all of their minds will have already been made up long before that trial starts.
