Bondi confirms she finally has all Epstein files

One of Pam Bondi’s first acts as Attorney General was to release the Epstein files to the public, only it did not go as planned.

The release, which was initially given to conservative influencers, was more or less regurgitated information that we already knew about.

Bondi then notified Director Patel that his New York office had withheld files, which she now claims to have in full.

Release the Files

When Bondi released the 100-page document, there was immediate blowback due to redactions, names without context, and virtually no new information in the release.

Bondi later revealed that less than 24 hours before her scheduled release, she was told that significantly more files had not yet been turned over to her office.

She stated, “You’re looking at these documents going, ‘These aren’t all the Epstein files.’ There were flight logs, there were names, victims’ names, and we’re going, ‘Where’s the rest of the stuff?’ That’s what the FBI had turned over to us.

“So a source said, ‘Whoa, all this evidence is sitting in the Southern District of New York.’ So based on that, I gave them the deadline, Friday at 8, a truckload of evidence arrived.

“It’s now in the possession of the FBI. Kash is going to get me, and himself really, a detailed report as to why all these documents and evidence had been withheld.

“We’re going to go through it, go through it as fast as we can, but go through it very cautiously to protect all the victims of Epstein, because there are a lot of victims.”

Bondi expects to release the next wave of information on Thursday, but as noted above, there will be redactions to keep the victims' identity hidden.

She further stated that the next batch of information would contain “a lot of flight logs, a lot of names, a lot of information,” but the flight logs were made public several years ago, so again, I am not sure what new information she is offering here.

Bondi stated that in addition to the names of victims, additional information that could be redacted would be anything related to national security, grand jury information, and other confidential information.

To me, this is not much ado about nothing, as my bar is pretty low in terms of expecting a bombshell to come out of this release. Bondi, however, is setting expectations a bit higher.

She stated, “We believe in transparency, and America has the right to know. The Biden administration sat on these documents. No one did anything with them. Why were they sitting in the Southern District of New York? I want a full report on that.

“Sadly, these people don’t believe in transparency, but I think more, unfortunately, I think a lot of them don’t believe in honesty. It’s a new day. It’s a new administration, and everything’s going to come out to the public. The public has a right to know. Americans have a right to know.”

I like Bondi, and I think she will do an exceptional job for Trump as Attorney General, but I fear she is being set up for failure on this one. So, please, don’t expect much to come from these documents as my guess is that anything truly damaging to high-profile friends of Epstein’s has probably already been deleted and destroyed in a burn bag.
