Bill Gates reportedly trying to get close to Trump after going 'all-in' for Harris

Although Bill Gates went "all-in" on failed Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris, there are rumors that the Microsoft billionaire wouldn't mind getting a little closer to Donald Trump now that he is going to be America's 47th president.

In a recent and somewhat confusing social media post, Trump made the claim that Bill Gates has asked to visit with Trump at the president-elect's home in Mar-a-Lago.

"Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe,’ Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Some are speculating that the message was meant to be sent to Elon Musk directly, but Trump instead accidentally let the public have a glimpse at what was supposed to be a private message.

The reference to "x" is what made a lot of people think the message was meant for Elon. "X" could have referred to the website formerly known as Twitter, or it could have been the nickname for Elon's son "X AE A-XII," who is often just called "X."

The most interesting thing about the social media post was the claim that Gates wanted to meet up at Mar-a-Lago.

It's not surprising that a businessman like Gates would like to meet with Trump, but it sure is a reversal from the tech mogul's apparent support for Harris when he claimed that the 2024 "election is different" and said:

I support candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to improving health care, reducing poverty and fighting climate change in the U.S. and around the world. I have a long history of working with leaders across the political spectrum, but this election is different, with unprecedented significance for Americans and the most vulnerable people around the world.

The company Gates help found, Microsoft, has often worked against Trump and Republicans in the past.

For example, Microsoft partnered with Newsguard, whose cofounder said that the stories about Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell" was a "hoax perpetuated by the Russians."

Gates might be singing a different tune now though, because he was right about one key thing.

This election WAS different than 2020.

This time, Donald Trump WON.
