Bill Clinton Posts Update on Cancer Recovery of Rep. Jackson Lee

Earlier this year, Rep. Jackson Lee (D-TX) announced that she had cancer.

At 74, this will not be an easy battle for her to win, and her camp has been mostly quiet since the diagnosis.

Bill Clinton broke that silence this week after talking to Jackson Lee.

Fighting Back

As much as I dislike Democrats these days, cancer is not something I would wish on anyone.

I have personally seen how this disease can destroy someone and just crush a family, and it is heartbreaking to go through.

Clinton recently spoke with Jackson Lee and decided to share it on X.

He stated, “Just spoke with my friend Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as she battles pancreatic cancer.

“She’s doing well and remains the fighter we all know her to be, facing this challenge with incredible strength and determination.

“Join me in cheering her on and keeping her in our thoughts. Stay strong, Sheila!”

Jackson Lee responded, “Thank you again, Mr. President! I am not deterred one bit; the fight continues!”

When Jackson Lee announced that she had cancer, she stated, “My doctors have confirmed my diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

“I am currently undergoing treatment to battle this disease that impacts tens of thousands of Americans every year.

“I am confident that my doctors have developed the best possible plan to target my specific disease.

“The road ahead will not be easy, but I stand in faith that God will strengthen me.”

Even with the cancer, Jackson Lee has stated that she will do her best to get to congressional sessions when meaningful legislation is on the floor.

Sadly, that has not been the case much this session, as the GOP has more or less wasted the entire session, putting the chamber at risk in 2024.
