Bill Clinton admits Trump won 2024 election 'fair and square'

Former President Bill Clinton has publicly stated that President-Elect Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election "fair and square."

This should not be a controversial statement, but there is no doubt that there are many Democrats who do not agree with it and who probably wish that Clinton did not say this.

Clinton made the remark during an appearance Wednesday on ABC News' The View, Fox News reports.

He was there, in part, to talk about his new memoir, Citizen: My Life After the White House. It is billed as "A powerful, candid, and richly detailed memoir from an American icon, revealing what life looks like after the presidency: triumphs, tribulations, and all."

Clinton admits defeat

During his appearance on The View, Clinton said, "This time, Donald Trump won the race, fair and square, I think."

Clinton, of course, is implying that Trump's previous victory, in the 2016 election, over Hillary Clinton, was not won "fair and square."

The hosts of the show went on to ask Clinton how he sleeping following Trump's 2024 victory. This is because Clinton, in his memoir, admitted that he had trouble sleeping after Trump beat Hillary in 2016.

Clinton, referring to the aftermath of the 2024 election, said:

I'm sleeping better now because I did everything I could for the alternative. But I also think it's important for everybody to just take a deep breath and say, unlike in 2016, there was no outside influence like the FBI Director interfering at the last moment in violation of 70 years of policy, and it changed 5% [in polling] overnight.

Clinton, referring to Trump, went on tno say, "so as far as I know, he won it, and they're a lot of reasons why."

Obama has a different take

Former President Barack Obama recently made his first post-election speech, and it raised a lot of eyebrows, to say the least.

Obama said:

Let me make this key point: Pluralism is not about holding hands and singing ‘Kumbaya.’ It is not about abandoning your convictions and folding when things get tough. What happens when the other side has repeatedly and abundantly made clear they’re not interested in playing by the rules?

He didn't stop there, either.

He continued:

There are going to be times, potentially, when one side tries to stack the deck and lock in a permanent grip on power, either by actively suppressing votes, or politicizing the armed forces, or using the judiciary or criminal justice system to go after their opponents.

This remark has left many asking who exactly it is that Obama is referring to. The obvious answer would be that he is referring to Trump and Republicans. The only problem is that this answer seems to be contrary to reality.
