Biden's DOJ rushing through J6 charges before Trump enters office
The Department of Justice (DOJ) just brought NEW charges against MULTIPLE defendants of the Jan. 6, 2021 unrest.
The fact that these charges have been brought against defendants just weeks after President Donald Trump’s election victory is a bit odd, to say the least.
At this point, it’s hard not to wonder if the DOJ is just looking for somewhere to unleash some post-election rage.
If you asked Trump, he would agree.
In fact, he called the prosecutions “political persecution.”
Trump isn’t the only one who believes the DOJ is being unfair to the defendants.
An attorney who has provided legal representation to countless Jan. 6 defendants goes by the name of Bill Shipley.
Shipley agreed to an interview with the Washington Examiner in which he shared his hot take on what he believes the Department of Justice is doing.
“They’re denying reality. They’re basically saying, ‘Well, it’s our toy for another seven weeks, so we’re going to keep playing with it,” Shipley began.
“They’re tying up court resources for cases that are almost assuredly not going forward. And then the defendants have to retain counsel, and counsel has to get involved and put aside time and make appearances and arrangements and deal with the government and obtain discovery,” Shipley also said.
As Trump has gone so far as to call the DOJ’s actions “political persecution,” it has led many to believe we can see these cases come to screeching stop the moment Trump returns to office.
Some defendants from Jan. 6 have opinions of their own on what will happen next if the DOJ refuses to drop the antics.
One defendant, William Pope, said that “If Merrick Garland’s DOJ continues pursuing retribution against J6ers all the way up until the inauguration, they know what they can expect in return immediately after the inauguration.”
What do you think the next move from the DOJ will be?
