Joe Biden and his talking heads continue to brush off concerns over his age in polling and public reports, but that is a far cry from what is apparently happening behind closed doors.
Reports are blowing up after Politico reported on a story that Fox News covered about a month ago.
The report claims that Biden donors and staffers are expressing concerns and putting measures in place to try to protect Joe from falls and bringing his age to light.
When Fox News reported the story about a month ago, it was pretty much blown off by the media.
The report then stated that staffers were recommending that he wear sneakers as well as using the lower stairwell on Air Force One to avoid any falls.
Now, Politico released a similar report that stated, "People close to the president have discussed having him walk shorter distances while on camera. They’ve also advocated, at times, trading in formal shoes for more comfortable ones — both to make his stride seem less stiff, but also to reduce the risk of falls.”
This comes amid concerns by Democrat pundits who are very worried about how the public is perceiving Joe Biden right now.
For instance, James Carville stated, “So do doubts remain about the president’s age? Yeah, I mean this – how could any sane person say that this is not an issue?"
Former Obama adviser David Axelrod piled on, adding, “The one number in the polling that was concerning, and in the CNN poll that followed after The New York Times poll, had to do with age, and that is one thing you can’t reverse no matter how effective Joe Biden is behind the scenes. In front of the camera, what he’s projecting is causing people concerns, and that is worrisome.”
Those comments got back to Biden, who reportedly called Axelrod a “pri**” in private.
Right now, 69% of Democrat voters want someone else to run other than Biden, and they now have it.
Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) threw his name into the hat to give the voters the alternative they seek.
So, let’s see if they still pull the handle for the man none of them actually believe can win a general election, nor do they really want him on the ticket.
