Well, Joe Biden really stepped into it this time.
I believe that Joe Biden wants to get this country into a war to try to save his presidency.
It is the only thing that can explain the comments he has made recently, first with Russia, and now with China.
The ‘Yes’ Heard Round the World
During Joe Biden’s “60 Minutes” interview, Biden made a comment that likely has China chomping at the bit.
When asked if the US would help defend Taiwan, Biden responded, “Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack.”
Scott Pelley asked for clarification, stating, “So unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir — US forces, US men and women, would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?”
Biden responded, “Yes.”
The White House response team immediately responded to walk back Biden’s comments, stating that the policy regarding Taiwan has not changed.
Again, that is NOT what Biden said.
I have lost count how many times Biden has said something that the White House has had to walk back or explain what Joe Biden “meant” to say.
At some point, perhaps the media will decide to hold Biden accountable for his words, but that time is clearly not now.
