Democrats are calling in the cavalry, sort of.
With the Oregon gubernatorial race now tilted red, Joe Biden is going to try to fix things.
If the GOP takes this race, it will be the first time a Republican has lived in the governor's mansion in four decades.
Joe, Help
Republican Christine Drazan recently took the lead in polling.
Her opponent, Tina Kotek, is now on the hook for losing the first election in 40 years to a Republican.
The funny part about this report is that it was not Kotek that asked for Biden to help.
She stated, "He reached out to us.
"You know, he's very excited about mobilizing Democrats.
"He knows how important this election is across the country.
"We're excited he's coming and look forward to seeing him again."
Most Democrats have avoided Joe Biden like the plague during this election cycle, but Kotek has nothing to lose here.
She actually sounds a little excited about it, stating, "I think President Biden is here to remind people what's at stake in this election and people are going to be excited to see him, and I'm just glad he's making the time."
Drazan sees it differently, with her campaign stating, "The DC political class is in full panic mode to rescue Tina Kotek's failing and flailing campaign.
"Oregonians are ready for change, and Kotek is desperate to talk about anything other than her allegiance to Kate Brown and the agenda they've pushed that's caused massive homelessness, rising crime, and higher costs.
"They know Christine Drazan is going to win this race and there's nothing they can do to stop that from happening."
Oregon, a battleground state... go figure.
