Biden Threatens to Veto Bipartisan Legislation

Joe Biden is about to pick a fight with a bipartisan coalition who are looking to protect this country.

H.R. 21 addresses the use of our strategic reserves by Biden to lower gasoline prices.

While the bill is being floored by Republicans, it does have bipartisan support in the House and it is expected to overwhelmingly pass.

Biden, however, is looking to put a wrench in the system by threatening to veto the bill.

Not Happening

Biden more or less broke the unwritten rule when he tapped into our oil reserves to lower gasoline prices during an election year.

The only reason we have a shortage is because Biden is putting his boot on the throat of the oil industry.

This was not only a political gimmick, considering international tensions rights now, but this also put our country at risk.

The new bill does have bipartisan support, but not from the White House.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated, “If Congress were to pass H.R. 21, the president would veto it. He will not allow the American people to suffer because of the backwards agenda that House Republicans are advancing.”

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) responded, “Republicans want durable, long-lasting relief at the pump. The best way to do this is by unleashing American energy, which is what H.R. 21 helps accomplish.”

The Biden administration is claiming the move saved Americans somewhere between $0.17 and $0.42 per gallon since the move was initiated.

That savings would have never been needed if this administration was not trying to drive fossil fuel companies out of business.

We were an energy independent nation when Joe Biden took over, and he has turned us into a nation that now begs our enemies for oil and creates a national security risk so Democrats can snag a few extra votes.

With Biden now openly speaking out against the legislation, it would be shocking if Democrats did not back off the bill, making it completely partisan and destined for failure in the Senate.
