Biden Threatened with Muslims Leaving Democrat Party Over Israel Response

There are now Democrat members of Congress putting pressure on Joe Biden regarding his support of Israel.

Additionally, outside leftist groups are applying pressure, all threatening Biden with the Muslim community pulling its support if he does not cave to their demands.

I think people are reading this room entirely wrong.

The Threat

The National Muslim Democratic Council, which includes Democrat leaders with states that have a larger Muslim population and helped swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan, for Joe Biden, penned a letter demanding Biden encourage a cease-fire by Israel.

The groups gave Joe Biden an ultimatum to meet their demand by Tuesday evening, or they would start to pull support from Biden’s campaign.

Biden has been adamant that Israel has the right to defend itself, as well as stating that a cease-fire is not even an option to be put on the table until Hamas returns the roughly 200 hostages it took, which included some Americans.

On this front, Biden stated, "Here's an idea, and it's just an idea I'll throw out there. They can release them all now. Just let them go now because these people didn't do anything wrong.

"They're just innocent civilians being caught up in this conflict. Let them go now. Now, I recognize that's not going to happen, which is why we're going to keep working with our partners in the region to do what we can to get them released."

Democrat members of the Muslim community were livid their request was being ignored.

They responded, “It has become evident that our voices are being ignored, but our votes will not be. Simply put, as Gaza turns red, so could crucial battleground states.”

Kamala Harris, who had a significant number of Arab and Muslim aides in her camp, is also getting pressured by those current and past aides to support the Squad’s call for a cease-fire in Congress.

For his part, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said a cease-fire is off the table until he ends Hamas once and for all.

He stated, "Just as the United States would not agree to a ceasefire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, or after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, Israel will not agree to a cessation of hostilities with Hamas after the horrific attacks of Oct. 7.

“Calls for a ceasefire or calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorists, surrender to barbarism, that will not happen."

Biden knows that while the Muslim community played a role in him winning these swing states, nationally, the temperature is to throw all support behind Israel and allow them to defeat Hamas.

Rather than threatening Biden, their efforts would be better served by asking Palestinian leaders to help Israel remove Hamas to end this war. That will never happen, though, because we all know how Palestine feels about Israel.
