Biden Supporters Prepare for Hunter Investigation

President Joe Biden's supporters are preparing for the GOP's plans to investigate first son Hunter Biden as Republicans take back power in the House in January.

Democratic leader Ron Flipkowski offered his thoughts on the issue on Twitter this week ahead of the planned investigation.

"It's quite clear that Hunter was a very serious drug addict that went completely off the rails and did a lot of crazy stuff," Filipkowski wrote.

"It also seems clear that he frequently used his dad's name and alleged connections to make money and gain access. If the point is to embarrass, humiliate, & trash Hunter, that won't be hard. But who cares?

"The only thing that makes any of this relevant for a congressional inquiry is whether Joe Biden was directly involved or [benefited] financially from what Hunter was up to. That is the problem for them. On that score, the evidence is sorely lacking," he added.

The news comes as Rep. James Comer announced the Republican House Oversight Committee is launching an investigation the president's dealings with his son Hunter.

Comer's goal is to determine whether the president "is compromised or swayed by foreign dollars."

The latest announcement follows up on GOP promises during the midterm election campaign to get to the bottom of the scandals behind Hunter's laptop.

The new information could have strong consequences for Hunter and for Democrats regarding the 2024 presidential election.
