Biden Student Loan Debt Relief Being Challenged by Missouri AG

Joe Biden has been circumventing Congress and a Supreme Court order to erase the student loan debt of millions of borrowers.

Democrats and liberals love it, not seemingly realizing that all of this “forgiven” debt just adds to the nation's debt and is now on the American taxpayer.

Conservatives continue to fight against this forgiveness, with Missouri’s Attorney General firing the latest shot at Biden.

Too Far

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is now leading the effort to block a Biden forgiveness plan that has waived roughly $1.2 billion from the books for student loan borrowers.

More than 150,000 borrowers have had their entire debt wiped out, while another eight million have seen their payments reduced.

Attorneys General from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, North Dakota, Ohio, and Oklahoma have all joined the suit.

They are fighting Biden’s SAVE Plan, which was launched in August 2023 and is an income-driven repayment plan.

It is one of the many ways that Biden has circumvented Congress and the Supreme Court decision regarding his initial loan forgiveness plan.

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has also filed a suit to end the plan, stating, “Between our two coalitions of states, we will get this matter in front of a judge even more quickly to deliver a win for the American people.”

In his lawsuit, AG Bailey contends that Bidne’s SAVE Plan would harm the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority, or MOHELA.

He is arguing, “By accelerating the forgiveness timeline for the typical borrower by as much as 15 years, the final rule imposes financial harm on MOHELA, and thus the State of Missouri, by depriving MOHELA of up to 15 years in servicing fees.”

Let’s be honest here… this is nothing more than a vote-buying scheme for Joe Biden to win the 2024 election.

Biden has been bleeding younger voters for supporting Israel over Hamas and Palestine, so this is his big push to win them all back. And he is doing so on our dime because you better believe that Democrats will raise taxes in order to pay for these programs that are adding to an already out-of-control national debt.
