Biden Scraps Plans to Block States from Banning Trans Athletes in School Sports

Joe Biden has appeared to have given up his fight to allow biological males to compete in women’s sports.

This has been a very hot topic since Biden came into office, and his administration has consistently vowed to fight for transgender rights on this front.

However, with only weeks left in the administration, it appears that Biden is throwing in the towel.

Live to Fight Another Day

Democrats have always made this out to be a case of prejudice against transgenders, and that has never been true.

The issue here is the fairness of competition and the safety of biological women in athletics.

We have all seen the videos of transgender boxers, MMA fighters, and other contact sports pummeling biological women.

We have also seen how middling male athletes who come out as transgenders suddenly dominate women’s sports; it’s not fair and it’s not safe.

With numerous lawsuits pending against Biden’s quest to allow transgenders in women’s sports, they have finally given up the fight.

To that point, the Department of Education recently withdrew its proposed transgender rule for sports.

The statement read:

“The Department recognizes that there are multiple pending lawsuits related to the application of Title IX in the context of gender identity, including lawsuits related to Title IX’s application to athletic eligibility criteria in a variety of factual contexts.

“In light of the comments received and those various pending court cases, the Department has determined not to regulate on this issue at this time. Therefore, the Department hereby withdraws the Athletics NPRM and terminates this rulemaking proceeding.”

The Alliance Defending Freedom celebrated the decision, stating, “Women and girls deserve to compete on a level playing field, and the U.S. Department of Education has taken a step in the right direction by withdrawing this proposed change.

“As the withdrawal admitted, many Americans voiced their opposition to the rule change and there are many pending lawsuits related to protecting women’s sports—including a comment submitted by Alliance Defending Freedom and multiple lawsuits brought by ADF to protect women’s sports.

“The decision to withdraw the proposed sports rule merely reflects the views of the vast majority of Americans who believe that women’s sports should remain reserved for female athletes.”

Trust me… this fight is far from over.

The next time Democrats get control of Congress or the White House, they will again pursue this subject, so it will be up to Republicans to pass legislation within the next two years to protect women’s sports and its athletes.
