Biden Reportedly Kept in Dark Regarding Austin Hospitalization

On Friday, the Pentagon informed the American people that Defense Secretary Austin had been hospitalized earlier in the week.

According to the statement, Austin underwent an elective procedure that resulted in complications, requiring him to be hospitalized.

That incident reportedly took place on January 1, but even Joe Biden was reportedly not made aware of the situation until Thursday, January 4.

Heads Will Roll

This is not only a violation of 5 U.S.C. 3349, but it literally puts our national security at risk.

Currently, the United States is neck deep in supporting two different wars, and if the reporting is accurate, our Defense Secretary had an operation and put someone else in charge of his office without telling the president of the United States.

Not only that, the fact that the Secretary of Defense had been hospitalized was not known to the president for four days, and the American people were not told about it for five days.

Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper explained, “Somebody dropped the ball for Secretary Austin on that one. It’s an important issue. Very important position, and so people want to know if there’s a steady hand there at the wheel at all times.”

Arnold Punaro, a retired Marine Corps major general and former staff director of the Senate Armed Services Committee, added, “At a time when the administration is trying to keep the Ukraine coalition together, pass supplemental funding for Ukraine and Israel, avoid a full-year [continuing resolution] for defense — why would the secretary’s office create such a blunder?”

The White House has already dismissed the incident, citing a conversation that Biden had with Austin over the weekend, but another DoD official stated, “Someone’s head has to roll.

“Not telling the [White House], Congress, or the media he is sick, and then telling Pentagon staff he is working from home is next level. This is a problem. Someone made the decision not to disclose. That person will likely be gone shortly.”’

Let me add this… Congress is now putting together Defense spending, and the United States is funding two different wars, and we are to believe that, surgery aside, Biden and Austin did not talk for roughly a week?

I just cannot help but wonder what else Austin is doing on his own without White House approval if he dares have surgery and gets hospitalized and nobody figured it was important enough to tell the president of the United States that was happening.
