This administration loves to tout how diverse it is.
The hiring of Sam Brinton was no different.
Brinton was tagged as the first non-binary White House official when he was hired, but his dismissal has had far less pomp and circumstance.

Brinton allegedly stole a woman's Vera Bradley suitcase off a luggage carousel at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport (MSP) on September 16.
After the police were notified of the theft, they checked the video surveillance footage.
Lo and behold, there was Brinton not only removing the luggage, but also taking off the ID tag of the actual owner.
He, of course, denies having done anything wrong and claims it was all an accident.
When Brinton was first contacted about the theft, he stated, "If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don't have any clothes for another individual.
"That was my clothes when I opened the bag."
Two hours later, Brinton decided to fess up.
The court filing stated, "DEFENDANT said when they opened the bag at the hotel, they realized it was not theirs.
"DEFENDANT got nervous people would think they stole the bag and did not know what to do. DEFENDANT stated they left the clothes from the bag inside the drawers in the hotel room."
The video tells a different story, however, as Brinton clearly knew what he was doing when he took the bag.
He is only embarrassed because he got caught.
Brinton was charged with felony theft of a movable property without consent.
If convicted, he could be fined up to $10,000 and spend as much as five years behind bars.

While the White House had plenty of fanfare during his hiring, but Brinton being put on leave never made the headlines when it happened about a month ago.
When the Department of Energy was contacted about the change, it told Fox News, "Sam Brinton is on leave from DOE, and Dr. Kim Petry is performing the duties of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition."
Just another coverup by the Biden administration… is anyone really shocked?
