Biden NY Delegate Has Criminal Record
The general election is still 10 months away, but that has not stopped the drama from already beginning.
A report broke this week that one of Joe Biden’s New York delegates has a criminal record.
According to the report, James “Jimmy” Monto III has been convicted of falsifying records as well as owing the state of New York more than $100,000 in back taxes and penalties.

Our elections being what they have been, one would think that the parties would collectively vet any delegates to ensure there is not even a hint of impropriety.
Monto, a former employee in the Syracuse City School District, had a bit of a tainted record, though.
The local DA stated that Monto took tax credits that he was not entitled to, costing the local school district stacks of cash that was paid to the IRS that should not have been paid out.
Monto had pleaded guilty to falsifying business records, yet he remains on the list of delegates for Joe Biden representing the 22nd congressional district.
Neither Governor Kathy Hochul nor Joe Biden can claim ignorance on this matter, as both are required to sign off on the delegates, as is party chair Jay Jacobs.
One party source stated, “Kathy Hochul Hochul and Jay Jacobs aren’t sending their best to represent Biden at the Democratic National Convention.
“Monto stole from the Syracuse school district. He stole from kids!”
Even the media tore into the idea of using Monto as a delegate, with the editorial board of Syracuse.com writing. “We’re all for giving second chances. But something doesn’t sit right with Monto’s redemption story … Members of the Common Council interviewing Monto for the job showed a stunning lack of curiosity about his past.”
The report continued, “Monto told councilors he had been charged with a crime previously but they did not press him for further details. Nor did they explore how it might affect his work on the council, which votes on the school district budget and other tax matters.”
I have said this before, but it deserves to be said again… I have no idea who is doing the vetting for the Democrat Party right now, but based on this and previous stories, including numerous nominations made by Biden for Senate-approved positions, the vetting team needs to be overhauled because they are clearly missing the boat.
