Well, I have to say, I was not surprised one bit when I heard the name that would be replacing John Kerry as Joe Biden’s Special Envoy for clean energy.
John Podesta, who has been neck deep in every Democrat administration since Bill Clinton, as well as having worked with Hillary Clinton, will be the new special envoy.
Podesta is currently serving as a special adviser to Joe Biden, and it was announced that he will be elevated to the new position on Wednesday night.
John Kerry was actually the one to name Podesta as his successor on X, posting, "John Podesta has been a longtime climate ally and advocate. He knows the issue, and he’s worked with NGOs and Administrations over a long period of time.”
Kerry has not transitioned out just yet and is expected to remain at the post until the spring.
Kerry and Podesta have both been entrenched in the Democrat hierarchy for decades, with Kerry commenting on that later, posting, "He has also conducted track-two dialogues as a private citizen, which has given him a strong foundation in the global challenges of the climate crisis. He will bring important expertise to the work ahead, particularly in respect to the down-to-earth challenges of implementing COP28.”
White House Chief of Staff Jeff Zients added, "In three years, Secretary Kerry has tirelessly trekked around the world – bringing American climate leadership back from the brink and marshaling countries around the world to take historic action to confront the climate crisis.
"We need to keep meeting the gravity of this moment, and there is no one better than John Podesta to make sure we do. John has – and will continue to be – at the helm of driving the implementation of the most significant climate law in history."
This is just corruption rewarding corruption because when I think of political corruption in DC, Biden, Clinton, and Podesta are right at the top of that list.
If you recall, his brother, Tony Podesta, was neck deep in the Mueller investigation, forced to dissolve his business entities and retire from the business. When Mueller decided not to charge Podesta, he unretired and got back in the game.
John Podesta was also front and center in the Hillary Clinton email debacle, identified as one of the central figures of a network of political allies and big money donors, with the Washington Post once dubbing him, “the Clintons’ longtime cleanup guy” was now “the source of the mess.”
At this point, we probably have more criminals in this administration drawing federal paychecks funded with our taxpayer dollars than we have in a local county jail.
In other words, DC is operating business as usual.
