Biden insider exposes how White House 'gaslit' public about former president's decline
Longtime press aide to former first lady Jill Biden, Michael LaRosa, just came clean.
According to LaRosa, the Biden administration “gaslit” the public about the state of the then-presdent's cognitive health.
During a recent seminar held by Puck reporter Tara Palmeri at the Sine Institute of Policy and Politics at American University, LaRosa made a statement that took the internet by storm.
LaRosa said the White House knew from “day one” that Joe Biden’s age was going to cause problems.
“There are some things that are true. I mean, like the gaslighting, there was a lot of denial of the polling. And I will use the term gaslight because that's what they were doing the campaign, former colleagues,” LaRosa stated.
“The message to everybody was to make sure that you tell people it's too early. It's too early,” he also said to Palmeri.
“These polls don't mean well; it became too early, and these polls don't mean anything," he went on.
LaRosa also said that Biden’s administration and campaign were “scared to death” to allow Biden to participate in anything that required impromptu answers, like press conferences.
Of the time period in which Joe Biden’s cognitive decline was finally acknowledged, LaRosa said that “I think if you were watching MSNBC, you probably believed [the White House] and were probably pretty shocked.”
“But if you were, if you were consuming information, consuming data and looking at it objectively and trying to interpret it and process it objectively, then none of it was surprising," he added.
LaRosa said that, at the end of the day, the Biden campaign simply could not pull it off.
“They just couldn't do it. They didn't have any idea. And they didn't have the vessel either in Biden, by the way, who would have done anything. He loves TV. He loves doing stuff. It was the orbit that did not trust their own candidate,” he went on.
Biden was never really known for his ability to quickly and concisely tell the truth.
During his days as a senator, he was constantly dogged by allegations of dishonest and never could seem to keep his story straight. He inflated his academic achievements and wasn't honest with Americans about his past decisions.
By the time Biden became America's vice president, he had already lost a step.
During his four years in the Oval Office, the man seemed to change into a completely different person. Biden couldn't string a sentence together by the end of his term, and the people around him lied to the world about his condition.
