Joe Biden is obsessed with Donald Trump.
It cannot be denied after he took a cheap shot at Trump for what was local corruption.
Biden claimed that Puerto Rico was not “taken very good care of” after Hurricane Maria in 2017.
Wrong!
As Biden was leaving the White House on Monday, he stated, “I’m heading to Puerto Rico because they haven’t been taken very good care of.
“They’ve been trying like hell to catch up from the last hurricane.
“I want to see the state of affairs today and make sure we push everything we can.”
The level of local corruption in Puerto Rico was well documented.
Does everyone remember all the water bottles left on the tarmac that went to waste?
How many officials from Puerto Rico ended up with charges against them for corruption related to relief funds?
Now, I will admit the money was sent on a drip campaign, but there was massive corruption oversight at the time.
Perhaps this would not have been an issue if Puerto Rico were not so corrupt.
And to be clear, the corruption extends across party lines in Puerto Rico, as numerous officials from both parties have found themselves in hot water.
I would not be surprised at all if a nice chunk of the money that Biden is sending them ends up in private bank accounts rather than being used to help the people of Puerto Rico.
