Biden has been implicated in USAID scandal

President Joe Biden has just been implicated in the ongoing United States Agency for International Development (USAID) scandal. 

Fox News reports that it is actually an ally of the United States who has implicated Biden.

The ally is Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, who recently spoke with Fox News Digital.

This all comes as the administration of President Donald Trump has placed a 90-day pause on USAID spending, and others, in order to evaluate, among other things, potential abuse.

"A tool to interfere with domestic issues"

Szijjártó, in the interview, exposed how the Biden administration seemingly weaponized USAID spending.

He explained:

The former administration couldn’t digest that we weren’t ready to give up our national positions. We were not ready to give up representing our national interests. And we were not ready to give up our non-liberal, patriotic, conservative type of approach.

Szijjártó went on to allege that the Biden administration used USAID to "destabilize the situation in other countries" and to fund "programs which were totally alien and strange compared to the culture and the heritage of other countries."

Szijjártó said that he is happy with the 90 days pause on spending implemented by the Trump administration.

Background

In case you missed it, the Trump administration placed the 90-day pause on USAID spending towards the end of last month.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said:

Consistent with President Trump’s Executive Order on Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid, Secretary [Marco] Rubio has paused all U.S. foreign assistance funded by or through the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for review. He is initiating a review of all foreign assistance programs to ensure they are efficient and consistent with U.S. foreign policy under the America First agenda. President Trump stated clearly that the United States is no longer going to blindly dole out money with no return for the American people.

Since then, the Trump administration has revealed many alleged abuses by USAID. Many of them can be found here.

We, however, are seeing a massive pushback - not from the American people - but from government officials. To many, this suggests that Trump has hit the mark.

The biggest scandal of them all?

President Trump believes that this USAID scandal could be the "biggest of them all."

In a recent social media post, he wrote:

LOOKS LIKE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS HAVE BEEN STOLLEN AT USAID, AND OTHER AGENCIES, MUCH OF IT GOING TO THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA AS A “PAYOFF” FOR CREATING GOOD STORIES ABOUT THE DEMOCRATS. THE LEFT WING “RAG,” KNOWN AS “POLITICO,” SEEMS TO HAVE RECEIVED $8,000,000. Did the New York Times receive money??? Who else did??? THIS COULD BE THE BIGGEST SCANDAL OF THEM ALL, PERHAPS THE BIGGEST IN HISTORY! THE DEMOCRATS CAN’T HIDE FROM THIS ONE. TOO BIG, TOO DIRTY!
