Joe Biden threw a big shindig this week at the White House for the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act.
Biden invited thousands to the signing event, and at least one of those names grabbed quite a bit of attention.
That would be Marti Gould Cummings, a "non-binary drag artist."
Here We Go…
Cummings celebrated the invite to the White House with a Twitter announcement.
Cummings wrote, "To be a non binary drag artist invited to the White House is something I never imagined would happen. Thank you President & Dr. Biden for inviting me to this historic bill signing. Grateful doesn't begin to express the emotions I feel."
This issue is not so much the legislation as it is the pushing of an agenda on children.
Democrats have come to take to pushing drag events on children, so the invitation of Cummings to the event did not sit well with a lot of conservatives.
Biden, regarding the new legislation, stated, "After the uncertainty caused by the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, Congress has restored a measure of security to millions of marriages and families.
"They have also provided hope and dignity to millions of young people across this country who can grow up knowing that their government will recognize and respect the families they build."
Biden went on to say that this new legislation meant that people could live their lives without government interference, which is pretty rich coming from someone who is pushing government control in just about every facet of our lives.
As we noted in another report, this entire issue created some urgency after Justice Thomas' comments after the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Those comments sent a wave of panic through the entire left, and Biden has now answered their call.
