Biden Facing Backlash Among Muslim Voters for Support of Israel
A Chinese-backed outlet, the Global Times, is pushing a narrative that we have already seen Muslim members of Congress push regarding the 2024 election.
Muslims are reportedly very upset with Biden for his backing of Israel against Hamas.
So disappointed, in fact, they may sit out the 2024 election, which could cost Biden some states that Democrats usually bank on during an election.
Problems for Joe
Now, it is a given that most Muslim voters will not pull the handle for a Republican candidate, but that is not necessarily what would be needed to flip some states.
When you look at states like Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, the Muslim population in these states is enough to flip the state.
For instance, Trump lost PA by less than 82,000 votes, but the state has a Muslim population of nearly 150,000.
Trump lost Michigan by slightly more than 154,000 votes, but the state has more than 240,000 Muslims.
I am sure you get the idea where I am headed with this… if Biden loses that vote and they merely boycott the vote, it could be enough to flip the state.
The Global Times reported, “Though Arab Americans and other Muslims make up a small part of the electorate in the US, their population is growing, and these voters can be a critical voting bloc in tight elections.”
It continued, “If more Muslims in crucial swing states make the decision to vote against Biden, the outcome of the 2024 election will not be what Biden wants to see.”
Since the war between Israel and Hamas started, Biden has also been dealing with pushback from people like Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who has openly threatened Biden with the boycott of Muslim votes during the election.
In a typical election year, dropping the Muslim vote would not be a worry for a Democrat, but if this Biden v Trump 2.0, this election is going to be very tight.
When you couple Biden’s Muslim problem with the fact he is now also bleeding black voters, this could be a race that gets away from Biden very easily.
