Biden Immigration Program is an Epic Fail

Earlier this year, Joe Biden got the bright idea of streamlining immigration processing.

Holding facilities were overflowing and this was Joe’s way to empty them out.

Well, the system is a complete failure, and now Joe has people on both sides of the aisle calling him out.

Just Does Not Work

The new program lets asylum officers, rather than immigration judges, determine the case.

This was meant to shrink the processing time from what can sometimes take years to as little as 90 days.

Sounds great, but it is not working.

On the one hand, advocates say the immigrants do not have enough time to put their case together.

Correct me if I am wrong, but if you are applying for asylum, should you not already have your case together when you apply? But I digress.

On the other hand, critics say this program is creating even more backlog in the courts.

Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, stated, “This program is going to fail no matter what because even if an asylum officer finds that they don’t have a claim to asylum, then the people get to appeal it.

“Why are we even setting up this step? Now, all we’re doing is prolonging the process because every single person is going to appeal it. This is a stupid rule. It makes absolutely no sense.”

Linh Tran Flores, who practices immigration law, added, “We understand the Administration’s purpose in this; they really are trying to give some relief to the immigration courts.

“But that’s almost overridden by the extreme concern that they don’t give people an opportunity to get counsel.”

Sorry, Joe, but this will go down as yet another epic failure.
