Conservatives Blast Biden Energy Secretary Over Glowing China Remarks

Republicans blasted Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm for highlighting China as a positive example of fighting climate change.

Granholm shared the remarks at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, on Friday.

The energy secretary said China "has been very sensitive, and has actually invested a lot in their solutions, to achieve their goals."

"We're hopeful that, you know, we can all learn from what China is doing," Granholm added.

Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN) blasted her comments in a tweet that called for her resignation.

"After her comments on climate change praising China and criticizing the U.S. in the same breath, Energy Sec. Granholm should resign," he wrote.

"She is delusional. China has no plans to address their emissions. Since 2005 we have reduced emissions more than any other country in the world," he added.

Iowa Republican Rep. Ashley Hinson also called out Grahnolm's false comments about China.

"It's time for the Administration to stop taking China's lies at face value & hold them accountable," she tweeted.

The latest claims by the energy secretary deny the reality of China as a leading climate polluter with a lack of plans to change the situation. Granholm's comments are far from accurate and only continue to highlight the alternative reality on display in the Biden administration when it comes to its treatment of China in comparison with the communist nation's actions.
