Biden Effort for Amnesty Struck Down by Court
The last two months of the Biden administration are likely to see a flurry of activity on fossil fuels and immigration.
To that point, the Biden administration was hoping to push through a measure for amnesty for illegals, but it failed.
A Biden Executive Order issued in the hopes of granting amnesty to some illegals was struck down in court.
Not So Fast
We all know why Biden and Democrats opened up the border when they came into office.
Their hope is that people will feel bad about deporting millions of people, and they can get an agreement to offer the eight million-plus they have let in amnesty and a pathway to citizenship to get tougher immigration laws passed.
If they can do this, they more or less lock themselves into keeping power for the next several decades, possibly longer.
Biden’s order has been challenged by the state of Texas, with numerous other red states joining the fight.
Gene Hamilton, the executive director of America First Legal, who has also been at the heart of these legal battles, commented after the judgment against the Biden administration was issued.
He stated, “Since day one, the Biden-Harris Administration has dedicated itself to the decimation of our immigration system and the erasure of our borders.
“Time and again, the states stood up. And today, the great State of Texas and the courageous Ken Paxton, alongside a coalition of other brave Attorneys General, succeeded in stopping an illegal program that would have provided amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens and paved the path for the largest administrative amnesty in American history.
“We are proud to stand alongside these patriots in defense of our great nation.”
The order was first revealed over the summer during the anniversary of Barack Obama’s controversial DACA program.
The new program, dubbed the Keeping Families Together program, was funneled through the Department of Homeland Security.
The courts ruled that the DHS did not have the authority to carry out the order.
