Joe Biden is once again using the actions of a lunatic to try to hurt conservatives in this country.
Even though the KKK was associated with the Democrat Party, it is the GOP that gets demonized every time there is a racially motivated attack in this country.
Such was the case after a white man carried out an attack against a black community, leaving three people dead, reported The Guardian.
Hateful Act
Biden, addressing the shooting, stated, “Even as we continue searching for answers, we must say clearly and forcefully that white supremacy has no place in America.
“We must refuse to live in a country where Black families going to the store or Black students going to school live in fear of being gunned down because of the color of their skin.
“Hate must have no safe harbor. Silence is complicity and we must not remain silent. Jill and I are praying for the victims and their families, and we grieve with the people of Jacksonville.”
He added, “On Saturday, our nation marked the 60th Anniversary of the March on Washington — a seminal moment in our history and in our work towards equal opportunity for all Americans.
“But this day of remembrance and commemoration ended with yet another American community wounded by an act of gun violence, reportedly fueled by hate-filled animus and carried out with two firearms," reported The Hill.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was quick to respond to the shooting as well as Biden’s comments.
He vowed, “We will not allow HBCUs to be targeted.” He also called the shooter a “hateful lunatic.”
The shooting took place at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville that was located near an HBCU.
The shooter was reportedly armed with a high-powered rifle and handgun and killed two black men and one black woman. The shooter then reportedly turned the weapon on himself.
Sherri Onks, the special agent in charge of the Jacksonville FBI office, added, “Hate crimes are always and will always remain a top priority for the FBI, because they are not only an attack on a victim, they’re also meant to threaten and intimidate an entire community.”
The shooter has since been identified as Ryan Palmeter, 21, who reportedly left a manifesto and suicide note, which police stated were the ramblings of a hate-filled extremist.
It was reported that Palmeter had actually been on the grounds of Edward Waters University, an HBCU, but he clearly did not take action while on campus, for whatever reason.
DeSantis called him “a major league scumbag,” adding “We’re not going to let people be targeted based on their race.”
